Installing Instructions:

READ BEFORE INSTALLIING OR POWERING UP THE LIGHT BAR

 

- This product is designed and intended for use only with 10-30 Volts DC (ELV-Extra Low Voltage) such as that in a motor vehicle or other plant and Machinery. Applying voltages higher or lower than this or at any voltage in AC (alternating current) form will result in damage to the light bar and possible harm or injury to the user.

- Before wiring up this Light, Ensure the battery and any other power source to the vehicle is isolated to prevent electric shock

- This LED Light Bar is for off-road use only. Use of the light bar on a public road may result in an accident due to blinding light to other road users. Please contact your local regulatory bodies for legalities on the road

- Installation of this item must be carried out by a competent person who has acquired the skills through training, experience or a combination of these things.

- Failure to follow any part of these two pages may result in premature failure of the light bar and possible damage or injury to property or persons

- By installing this product You acknowledge and agree that, subject to the section dealing with Limitation of Liability, Dietrich Ventures LTD and it’s owners will not be liable to you or any other person for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for product liability, personal injury or negligence resulting from use of goods or services supplied to you, or on behalf of you through the installation and use of this product

2 x support legs (A)

2 x support leg rubber feet (B)

2 x 30mm M6 stainless hex bolts (For fixing feet to the vehicle) (C)

2 x M6 Stainless nuts (For fixing feet to the vehicle) (D)

2 x 25mm M4 Stainless hex bolts (For fixing feet to the light Bar) (E)

2 x 12mm M2 Stainless Hex bolts (secondary locking bolt) (F)

2 x 8mm O-rings to fit between the feet and the light bar (G)

1 x 5mm Hex tool (H)

1 x 3mm hex tool (I)

Installation

 

1) Ensure that all the items are used in the installation. Failure to utilise all items may result in premature failure of the light bar or jeopardise the integrity of it being secured to the vehicle, through vibration or other factors

2) Ensure the correct length bolts are used in securing the various pieces. Failure to do this may result in damage to the light Bar

3) Be sure to tighten item (C) to 2.5Nm, do not over tighten

4) Be sure to tighten item (E) to 1.4Nm, do not over tighten

5) Be sure to tighten item (F) to 0.3 Nm, do not over tighten

6) Ensure that adequate sized wiring for the distance of the cable run is used. Failure to use correct sized wiring for the current draw and voltage drop may result in Damage to the light bar through overheating or fire

7) Ensure that an adequate sized relay is used. Failure to use correct sized relay for the current draw and voltage drop may result in Damage to the light bar through overheating or fire

7) Ensure that an adequate size fuse is used on the power and control circuit and that the fuse is placed as close as possible to the power source. Failure to adhere to this may result in damage to the light Bar through overheating or fire. A fuse or similar circuit breaker device MUST be used in the installation

Below is a generic wiring schematic of how the light can be wired. However it may not suit all vehicles, so if you are unsure please seek the assistance of a qualified installer
